We have included news on another great restaurant coming to our neighborhood, as well as recent news on real estate inventory levels in the Charlotte metro area. At Uptown West Terraces framing and vertical construction are progressing at a rapid pace. Coming Soon to West End!

A new “chicken shack” concept from Charlotte restaurateur Jim Noble will be opening off Freedom Drive just minutes away from Uptown West Terraces. Called “Bossy Beaut’s Chicken Shack,” the restaurant is inspired by Noble’s great-aunt Beulah and her tradition of Sunday chicken after church in rural North Carolina. Noble also operates Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen and King’s Kitchen — and he will soon open Copain, a bakery and market concept in SouthPark. The chicken shack will be on the same property as Noble Smoke and Hyde Brewing, which is set to open around March 2019. The area will also have a large outdoor beer garden.

Charlotte Area Real Estate News

According to Realtor.com “Fast-growing employers headquartered in Charlotte, like Bank of America, have kept a steady stream of moving trucks heading for the region. The population of the metro jumped 14% from 2010 to 2017. And all those new faces mean more buyers competing for a dwindling number of homes. … About 1 in 7 homes in Charlotte is new. They’re just not going up fast enough.” A recent report puts into perspective just how much residential square footage has been sold in the Queen City’s metro area. Metro Charlotte had the second highest absorption rate of approximately 17.3 million square feet. That’s equivalent to 12 Bank of America Corporate Centers.
